TBWA Wins Spring ’99 APL
APL Final:
May 2, 1999
HEADLINE!!: TBWA def CO 1-0
TBWA – Guess, Etern, BmoC, Nano
CO – Spiffy, Ogre, Mazaru, Belson
Report:
For the third season in a row TBWA prepares for the APL Championship. Losing the previous 2 APL Championships to bunny. This Spring 1999 APL season was already different as Bunny could not 3peat being beaten by CO….
So this season it was TBWA vs our friendly Fiete CO counterpart. Like always game starts out with Guess dying first for TBWA 🙂 But it turned out to be good, by the time he got out of holding pen, he was meeting a Flag driven Mazaru of CO looking to take home the flag.. Guess killed off Maz, and proceeded to move forward when Etern was already escaping with the CO flag already over 1/2 way back, TBWA covered and scored within the 4 minutes of the match..
Did that relieve pressure or what! Remembering wiping the brow 🙂 TBWA now being up 1-0 with 25 minutes left still realized that only little time has gone by and anything could happen. Although the pressure was now on CO to make a flag run, TBWA could focus more on defense. CO neverless put the pressure on TBWA by sending over offensive teams to steal the flag. During the next 10 minutes CO was able to reach the base a few times (all solo efforts) but could never escape the TBWA defense.. TBWA’s Nano also kept the CO defenders busy most of the match trying to stop his flag runs keeping the CO attackers numbers low along with BmoC keeping the CO attackers from even reaching the TBWA side..
With about 10 minutes left in the match CO made their biggest push with all of CO now in TBWA 1/2 of the map, TBWA was able to kill them off kill for kill and move forward to move the battle back to CO side of the map as all they needed to do was to buy time.. And time they bought, with about 5 minutes now left in the game.. 2 CO’s entered the TBWA base, while 1/2 of TBWA was on the offensive, CO grabbed the flag but was killed fairly quickly.
With the clock at 2 1/2 minutes, CO had to go full guns. A flag run takes about 2 minutes they had no time to waste. CO went offensive but was picked off 1 by 1..
The buzzer finally buzzed, thus concluding the Spring APL 1999 Season.
TBWA has finally done it 🙂

Semi-Final: TBWA def SiD 3-0

HEADLINE!!: TBWA def SiD 3-0
TBWA – Guess, Etern, BmoC, Nano
SiD – EnOoNmAI, Xero, Moon, Malak
Report:
Nano had just drunk a liter of coke and was feeling pumped up, literally, as the TBWA crew gathered for the big semi-final show down.
The game started out with TBWA and SiD trading kill for kill in the middle part of the map. However TBWA managed to gain a slight upper hand and moved on the offence. But SiD kept TBWA pegged back as the game rocked from one side of the map to the other.
The first flag run came when BmoC and Nano made a break in the SiD line with Nano grabbing the flag and heading down with BmoC beside him in cover. Nano picked a perfect route as BmoC killed off the entire SiD chase. This return was a HUGE confidence booster for us, with high fives all around 🙂
The second run was full of action. BmoC grabbed the flag and made it halfway out of the green base with Nano covering. However SiD spawned and managed to kill off BmoC. Nano was there on the spot to pick up the flag tho, killing Enoo and Moon dodging bullets from Malak from behind. Malak finally killed Nano but the rest of TBWA were there to recover as SiD made it out of the TBWA base with the flag. But Etern was able to stop the SiD flag attempt and bring back the flag while Nano respawned and brought back the other, giving us the 2-0 lead.
The third run was quite risky but it paid off. SiD was on a full offensive charge with all their members in the TBWA base. Despite the calls of his teammates, Nano saw this as an opportune time to take the flag out of the empty SiD base. Eventually Guess, along with the other TBWA’s managed to kill off all the SiD with Nano safely and easily returning to base with the flag, giving us now the 3-0 win.
GREAT JOB! to everyone that played and cheered, we were all very nervous about this game but showed determination and played our best. 🙂

HEADLINE!!: TBWA def EgO 1-0
TBWA – Guess, Etern, BmoC, Knight
EgO – Dragon, Chaos, Law, Acolyte
Report:
This was our 1st Official playoff game vs a very determined EgO squad with their well known Super Flagger Chaos.
TBWA and EgO were off, immediately TBWA took off on the offense and were able to hold ground on the EgO turf early on in the game. In the first 10 minutes TBWA had some close flag escapes but the EgO defense always seemed to swarm the TBWA flagger.
About 1/2 through the match, in the distant top chat were the loud sounds of Chaos saying “Offense guys, Offense”.. EgO was on the defense almost the entire match but were making excellent defensive saves.
TBWA’s BmoC was able to slide into the EgO base and with the help of Etern & Knight make it back to the middle of the map where Etern died, a few seconds later BmoC died, Knight who was holding excellently was able to block them from getting their flag but wasnt able to grab it either being in the middle of a small alley. Guess was rushing to the scene and grabbed the flag while Knight covered but Guess died while trying to round the corner, Knight finally died also and EgO rescued their flag back
With TBWA on the offense still, the clock was windling down to mere 3 minutes on the board and another TBWA flag run goes bad. With the Ref saying now 30 seconds left!.. Me (Guess).. though Oh No!! hehe.. Guess had an idea of going straight for the flag and returning it home (why didnt he think of this earlier???) 😛 Guess about in the middle of the map, with about 25 seconds left, straigtlined into the EgO base grabbed the flag with about 4 or 5 second to spare (forgetting about OverTime)… Guess manouvered around and didnt drop the flag, and managed to make his way out top of the EgO base with Ego’s blasting everywhere… Luckily TBWA was alive and kicking (I mean Killing) 😛 Guess was able to move out a little more, still on the EgO side of the map. TBWA was able to give Guess a path up top till another Ego spawned on the getaway spot, BmoC was able to take some shots allowing Guess to barely escape out of the EgO 1/2 of the red base and make it to middle when the support died.. Guess still having almost full health, was able make it to the Green top 1/2 of the map (very TOP) where the spawn point was, A determined EgO defense caught up with Guess giving him the only option UP again.. Guess with another TBWA (Knight or BmoC), Etern was trying to stop the other 2 Ego’s from helping them rescue the flag.. With BmoC covering & Guess still holding the flag, Law and Chaos were all face to face all 1 blob on the map.
This is where the action starts:P
Law and Chaos were firing into the green bunker trying to kill off Guess while BmoC trying to finish them off so Guess could bring home the flag.. BmoC dies :(, Knight was able to make his way up, while BmoC was saying “Guess just stall) Dodging missles and lasers, Guess is able to kill off one before dying, Knight was able to finish off the other.. Now Etern dies, the 2 other Ego’s are their. Luckily they were low from Etern, the rest of TBWA is able to hold off and kill the massive Ego rescue attempt which lasted forever and TBWA scored the 1 and only winning run!!!

HEADLINE!!: TBWA def ZULU 1-0
TBWA – Knight, Etern, BmoC, Guess
ZULU – Baron, Wizard, Parrot, Perite
Report:
This game was the rematch of last saturday’s game which TBWA defeated ZULU 1-0.. but because of sub confusion, the game was replayed…
The game starts out with TBWA and ZULU almost being completely even on the map and in kills..
ZULU made an offensive run after about 10 minutes into the game and escaped from the TBWA base with the flag, just as Etern was grabbing theirs. ZULU was able to finish off the TBWA defense and proceeded to bring flag to their base.. While Etern was carrying the ZULU flag, TBWA met her on top and covered her back to base making a flag exchange.
After the flag exchance, BmoC & Knight managed to make their way into the base and escape with their flag and make it 1/2 home until the ZULU defense killed the escort and the flagger and brought back their flag to their base… TBWA was able to get another flag run going and got about 1/4 way home when ZULU once again made the interception..
Redrover Redrover thus sending ZULU’s Wiz over to attempt a solo flag run. Wiz wasnt able to make it out the red base area either time and was killed off both times before any help could arrive. With TBWA on the attack, Wiz was left for alone for flagging but was picked off each time by the strong TBWA defense.
With 12 minutes left in the game and just about all 8 players in the game with 9 points, TBWA started to make a rally.
With ZULU splitting up offensive and defensive, TBWA was able to hold the ZULU attackers off just a little out of the TBWA base. While Etern was alone on the ZULU side and grabbed the ZULU flag. With all of ZULU on the TBWA side of the map, TBWA was able to kill off all the ZULU attackers with the exception of Wiz who held ground at the TBWA base a few seconds before dying… Etern who was just crossing the top green bridge, saw 2 greens coming, one green took the back of the bridge and one took the front leaving Etern trapped with no escort to help her… She managed to dodge shots from both sides and was able to kill off the green behind her, Etern had to move fast and just went forward across the bridge and fired lasers till the green was finally smoking, waiting for a bouncy to recharge she still kept dodging the greens shots, right when the bouncy came she fired it and killed off Baron.. By this time Wiz had grabbed the TBWA flag but was killed by Guess as he tried to escape from the base, then all TBWA took off and covered Etern from any ZULU rescue attempt..
TBWA took the Important 1-0 lead.. After that TBWA seemed to dominate more and more… TBWA just concentrated on defense and also had some offense pushes making a ZULU flag attempt dimish. ZULU wasnt able to make any more flag attempts as TBWA held the ZULU offensive to their side of the map…
MVP: Etern (who did absolutely awesome)

HEADLINE!!: TBWA def DP 3-0
TBWA – S-Shot, ID, Etern, Shiva
DP – Chizard, Dito, Oddish
The gamed started out with Chiz and Ditto not being able to make it into the map so we recreated… And again they didnt make it in and got stuck in the loading map screen. We recreated for the 3rd time with ID making the map, this time well all made it in besides Chiz. DP said to go ahead and start the game so we did. Etern stayed back since it was 4 on 2 and allowed the bubbles to pull the first flag out by themselves. Shiva brought it home for the 1-0 lead. Next round same happened and Shiva brought it home again for the 2-0 lead. Chiz finally made it into the game, S-Shot grabbed the flag, Etern stayed back but the bubbles ended up accidentally popping:(. After everyone respawned we went again, Etern grabbed the flag this time and brought it home for the win. DP were great sports for it being the 2nd time they had to go men short against us :(( MVP was Shiva!

HEADLINE!!: TBWA def EYoD 3-0
TBWA – Nano, Etern, BmoC, Guess
EYoD – SilverSpider, Pinchy, Pooh, Mythos
Report:
As usual the TBWA woke up and assembled early to face a tough Eyod squad. Eyod could only field 2 players and either had to forfeit or reschedule for later in the day… The nice bunch we are, we rescheduled 🙂
Finally at 5:00 EST Eyod starting poping up just before the match started.. We had a slight delay as Pooh had to rush home and make the game..
TBWA and Eyod finally spawned out from the APL holding pens and faced off!
TBWA seemed to get a great start killing off Eyod’s on all sides and were able to make 2 flag runs within the 1st 7 minutes of the game. TBWA now up by 2-0 had every Eyod’s points at 0, with the exception pinchy.
Our 3rd and last flag run took a about 10 minutes with a ton of close flag grabs that eyod was able to defend. Pinchy attempted to sneak over to the TBWA base once and pick up the flag but had to drop it just inches from the holder just as the TBWA defense (Guess) was intercepting her and wore her down till she was smoking when a freshly spawned TBWA by the name of Nano finished her off; thus ending the only Eyod offensive run. While this was happening BmoC and Etern were grabbing the flag and were able to blast there way out and bring home the 3rd flag for the 3-0 mercy win.

HEADLINE!!: TBWA def ZULU 1-0
TBWA – Nano, Etern, Knight, Guess
ZULU – Baron, Wizard, Parrot, Khhan, Bantu (sub)
Report:
It was 4am in Australia, and Nano was tired hehe, but he assembled with the rest of the TBWA crew ready to fight a pumped ZULU.
The game started out with both teams meeting in the middle of the map with Baron slipping around behind to make a flag attempt. However Knight and Etern were there on defence and stopped it before it went anywhere.
Our one and only flag run came about halfway through the match. Nano grabbed the flag with TBWA covering, and made it halfway before Parrot intercepted and killed Nano. Etern and Guess were there however to clean it up, with Guess finishing off the cap.
TBWA then continued to push offensively, while continuing to shut down Wizard’s solo flag attempts. However ZULU played an excellent defensive match, and continued to stop all flag attempts. Etern made a run that lasted until halfway, however the ZULU chase overwhelmed the TBWA cover and Etern was stopped.
Late in the game ZULU made a series of grabs that brought them out to approximately halfway, however the clock and Etern beat them and TBWA walked away with the 1-0 victory.
Althought the scoreline doesn’t show it, we were pretty much in control the entire match, extra thumbs up to Knight for playing a great defensive game.

HEADLINE!!: TBWA def uFo 3-0
TBWA – Nano, ID, BmoC, Prunus
uFo – Validir, Xander, AndyAtlas, Garcon
Report:
Nano woke up to assemble with the rest of the TBWA crew for a late scheduled APL game against uFo. (note the key phrase: WOKE UP! hehe) Everyone appeared relax as we went into the game against a tough ufo.
The first flag run came quickly, about 5mins into the game. TBWA moved onto the offensive and never shifted. Nano grabbed the flag not expecting to go anywhere as there were 3 uFo’s waiting out in the bunkers to nail him. But Prunus, BmoC and ID came to the rescue, providing patches of cover for Nano to start his route. ID kept close to Nano making sure no uFo came to close, while Nano made his way out of the base. But on the bridge a uFo intercepted a smokey Nano who had to double back through all the crossfire at the base and let ID and BmoC destroy the uFo. Nano then nervously made his way back to the base with the rest of TBWA providing an awesome long cover wall behind.
The second flag run was a bit more risky 🙂 Two ufo’s grabbed our flag and were up against ID and Prunus defending while BmoC and Nano attacked. Just as Nano and BmoC entered the ufo base, one of the ufo’s escaping with our flag killed ID, leaving us with a bad situation. However Prunus stayed alive and killed the flag escort, but was having trouble killing the flag carrier, Andy. BmoC grabbed the ufo flag at about the same time, while Nano finished up killing a loose ufo down the bottom. Nano then worked his way up to BmoC providing a bomb or two cover behind but moving towards Andy who he found, fired a couple of bouncies, and killed 🙂 Prunus then picked up the flag and along with BmoC scored our second cap while Nano and ID destroyed the uFo chase.
Before our third cap we had a lil bit of a scare 🙂 Ufo somehow got past our defence and made it halfway while Nano was coming out of the base with the uFo flag. The uFo chaser on Nano was smoking, but so was Nano, and he died, leaving a ufo cap look certain. However both ID and Nano spawned in the best place possible, and took off at fast pursuit, all this while Ast and Spiffy, the two refs, were saying how good the flag run by ufo was 🙂 ID and Nano then met up with the ufo escort who Nano kept busy while ID went for the flagger. ID then with a miraculous shot, killed the ufo flagger about an inch before he returned it. Then with Nano blasting the way clear for ID to get out of the base, BmoC made an appearance and grabbed the other ufo flag. ID then died at halfway with only BmoC left. BmoC then died too! hehe but Nano then Prunus and ID were there to clean up and return our flag back to our base 🙂 All this and each team still only had one flag 🙂
About 10mins later we finally made our third and final run. TBWA stormed onto the offensive with Nano making his way out of the base with the flag. However ufo’s started popping up everywhere, and the TBWA coverage was getting weaker. Nano with a smokey ID made it to just outside the TBWA base with the flag when ID died, leaving Nano with the flag in a 2on1 situation. However BmoC and Prunus showed up just in time. Killing both ufo chasers and holding off the rest as smokey Nano returned the flag to give us a 3-0 win.
This was an AWESOME game on TBWA‘s behalf, as we all worked in everything really well together. Good job to everyone! And special thanks to a sick Knight for being our sub 🙂

HEADLINE!!: TBWA def SiD 3-0
TBWA – Etern, Knight, Guess, BmoC
EgO – Moon, Tanen, Xero (sub doggy)
Report:
This was yet another 4 on 3 match with TBWA having the 1 man advantage as SiD now could not field enough players.
We waited 10 minutes for Doggy to show up but did not surface so we started the game 4-3….
TBWA started out and trampled SiD literally and capped the flag without any trouble with good cover for the 1-0 lead after 2 minutes and 20 seconds of play with BmoC scoring the first cap..
Flag #2, TBWA once again barged into SiD territory and Knight came out with the flag and scored for the 2-0 lead in another 2 minutes at 20 seconds with Knight making this flag run…
Flag #3.. Well Xero got a lil upset at this point and said SiD forfeited and left the game, then Moon said no, and Moon and Tanen stuck with it in the game.. But then Doggy comes in!! making it just 4 on 3 again.. But TBWA continued to dominate and trampled over SiD once again and Guess brought home with winning flag for the 3-0 mercy win…
We set the APL speed record with a 7 minute win!

This was a 4 on 3 match with TBWA having the 1 man advantage as EgO could not field enough players.
The first 2 points were fairly fast as EgO being 1 man down the entire match.. TBWA marched in EgO base and came out with the flag 2 runs in a row for the 2-0…..
The 3rd storm of EgO territory they were able to stifle a few flag runs as they concentrated on defense being a man down.. After a bit TBWA finally broke out with the 3rd EgO flag with good cover and scored the last cap for the 3-0 mercy win.
All in all EgO did great for being 1 man down and put a super fight.

HEADLINE!!: Vechey League defeats Fiete League 2-0
Vechey League – Etern, Guess, ZapDos, Chaos
Fiete League – Astrok, Access Denied, Spiffy, Pengo
Report:
After the 2-0 win by the Vechey League #2 team, we were hoping to do the same in the All Star #1 team game..
After a long while, we finally got started…
Red seemed to get the spawn advantage during the first exit and was able to movin past the 1/2 mark on the Vechey turf. Vechey held their own and kill for kill advanced on the Fiete Territory…
With Vechey team in Fiete area now, Vechey was gaining more and more ground and pushed Fiete back into the red base.. Fiete being determined to end the Vechey assault was succefull in killing off the Vechey attack….
About 10 minutes into the game, Vechey was able to penetrate the Fiete base and come out blasting lasers with the flag.. With excellent coverage Vechey was able to get the 1-0 lead over Fiete………
Another 5 minutes of stalemate fighting took place, lots of Vechey flag attempts by Chaos, Access Denied took the top route and snuck into the Vechey flag bunker and grabbed it, but didnt get very far with Vecheys defense that run.. We also had the flag but Chaos was killed and both flags were returned to home flag base…
With only 13 minute remaining, Fiete seemed to be a little more agressive, once again AD snuck into the flag while Guess defending. AD managed to get about 1/2 across the top bridge before dying in crossfire.. Astrok was on the spot trying to recover wheere AD was left off, but the crossfire from left and right killed him..
Chaos was always busy grabbing the flag and keeping them split up nicely, with about 4 minutes left in play.. AD once again glided into the Vechey base and took the flag..
Guess trying to kill off AD, was crossfired by a rescue attempt by Astrok, AD tried to get past gap near the bottom exit to go bottom, but was just killed by a laser from Guess, then Astrok finished off Guess and attempted to rescue the flag.. While this was happening chaos had the Fiete flag coming home but was killed someone in the middle… Somehow we managed to rescue both flags and take the 2-0 lead with 30 seconds remaining….
With 30 seconds left to play, a flag was run was totally impossible, but a persistant AD went full guns and glory into 4 Vechey defenders and was killed… Gotta love the guy for trying 🙂
MVP: ZapDos
Note: Thanks to the Vechey League voters who nominated Guess & Etern to the 1st Vechey Team.. And ID & BmoC to the 2nd Vechey Team.
Along with Chaos and Zapdos we represented the Vechey League #1 team. Zapdos who was voted on 1st team subbed for Doggy who couldnt play. Zapdos did an awesome job with no practice with our squad.. Special thanks to Chaos who scheduled practices to help Vechey Team prepare for the All Star Game.

HEADLINE!!: TBWA def EF 1-0
TBWA – Etern,Guess, ID, BmoC (sub Atomic)
EF – Guyver, Dragus, Seph, Ciano
Report:
As usual the match started out mostly in the middle, with even kills on both sides.. However from then on the majority was fought on EF s. side..
With TBWA in the EF base, Guess grabs the flag but then was pinged out right away. Guess rejoins and quickly caught up with the TBWA offense once again… with TBWA still on the attack, etern grabs the flag, then boom ping out (I see a pattern here) 🙂
But anyway Etern drops the flag as she was disconnected from Ten, She wasnt able to sign on to Ten during the match. Luckily our fantastic sub Atomic was ready and joined up to even the match again..
Within a few minutes we were able to get another flag run going. This was one of TBWA’s infamous chain flag runs! Guess started out the flag run and was able to get over 1/2 before dying along with ID by a swarming EF recovery operation. BmoC and Atomic did an awesome job on holding their ground just long enough for Guessand ID to respwawn.. BmoC grabbed the flag but was quickly killed. With cover from Atomic and ID, Guess grabs the flags once again and wiggles past the bunkers into the TBWA base for the 1-0 lead..
From then on it was mostly TBWA, we had a number of flag runs. Unfortunetly the EF defense was great along with their respawn postions were right on the money for EF today.. Twice EF poped our just over Guess trying to escape with the flag and got killed.
EF was mainly on defense, they never touched the TBWA flag once during the game. However right at the end of the match, CianO was a few inches from touching our flag.
EF showed they have what it takes to compete in this APL. Expect them to give the Division a run for the money..

HEADLINE!!: TBWA def ZULU 3-1
TBWA – Etern, Nano, ID, BmoC
Zulu – Perite, Wizard, Baron, Bumble
Report:
It was 30mins before the match, and 4 hours before Nano had to be at school. Guess had instructed Nano the night before to come on if possible to replace him because of the ping outs the day before. So it was 4:27am and Nano had 3 alarms going which finally woke him up 🙂 He assembled with the rest of the TBWA crew to take on a very confident ZULU.
The first flag run was a chain flag 🙂 BmoC picked it up at the base with Nano behind him covering while he went across the bridge, unfortunately both died but Etern was on the spot to pick up the flag and continue the run. Etern also died though after relentless ZULU chasing at the halfway mark. However ID was there to pick it up and bring it back with help from BmoC and Nano covering behind. This gave us the 1-0 lead and a confidence booster.
The second flag run was a great solo effort by BmoC to get out of the base, and then met halfway by the TBWA cover. This return gave us the 2-0 lead.
However the next flag run wasn’t ours but a ZULU run. Wizard, the magnificent wizard of lag, picked up the TBWA flag and then proceeded to fly on a magic carpet through the team to give ZULU their first cap, with the scoreline now reading 2-1.
TBWA didn’t panic though, with the relentless attack of the flaggers with BmoC up top and Nano down the bottom splitting the ZULU defence and BmoC brought the 3rd flag back with another magnificant solo effort to give us the 3-1 victory.
Congrats to all bubbles who played, we showed those ZULU’s what we can do in a 4on4 🙂

February 27, 1999
TBWA – Guess, Etern, Nano, ID, (sub BmoC)
Zulu – Perite, Wizard, Baron, Bumble
30 minutes before the game started, TBWA practiced for 20 minutes in a private map. Then we assembled to play the zulu squad..
2 Minutes or so after the game started Guess and Eternity were pinged out and their connection was whacked from Ten. After a few tries of signing back in finally they made it back only to be thrown out once againt after 30 seconds…. During this time it was 4 on 2 vs ZULU with only Nano an ID playing for TBWA. A few minutes later Eternity managed to sign back on Ten and instruct BmoC to fill in for Guess to make it 4-3, leaving us only 1 man short. Eternity was able to join the game 1 last time for about 1 minute, while she was in she killed off the zulu attempting a flag run and was instantly pinged and booted from Ten once again. Once BmoC joined it was only 4-3 however BMoC got booted leaving us with 4-2 once again..
At this point, neither Guess or Eternity could even get back on Ten.. However once the game ended they both were able to sign on Ten without any problems.
As with all this happening we lost our first APL season game in history.
Congratulations to ID, Nano, BmoC for sticking with the game even with 4-2 for most of match. TBWA managed to take ZULU almost the entire 30 minutes of the game even at incredible odds.

TBWA Wins 3-0 Vs DP
TBWA– S-Shot, Etern, ID, Day61
DP– Chizard, Ghul, Oddish
This match didn’t start out too well for DP:( they only had 3 members show, so we played a 4 vs 3 anyway. At the beginning of the game TBWA broke into DPs base. Chizard pinged out for DP and never got back in. So the rest of the game went on with 4 vs 2:( TBWA scored a smooth 3 flag runs by ID, Etern, Day, and the game was over. Even though DP was at a huge disadvantage they still had positive attitudes and were great sports to play with.

TBWA Wins 3- 0 Vs Jade
TBWA– Prunus, ID, Guess, Etern, Bmoc
Jade– King, Theus, PPE, Tony and Chevy
It was a 5 vs 5 matchup
TBWA started out strong and marched into the Jade side of the map, but the respawns were able to hold us back for the first strike and flag run got stifled…
TBWA bounced back and kept attacking the red base and finally were able to come out with everyone still alive and defend the flag back to take it home for the 1-0 lead..
Lots of fighting taking place in the Jade area, Jade Tony lagged out quite a number of times. each time firing up about 1/2 the map as he left:P
Within a few more minutes we managed another sucessful flag run as we went up 2-0.
Bmoc came with the last flag run and was covered excellently as he took it all the wasy from Jade back to TBWA base while smokey.

TBWA Wins 1- 0 Vs CO
TBWA– Guess, Etern, S-Shot, BmoC
CO– Blizz, Belson, Tech, Spiffy (sub- Ogre)
Game started out with a fightout in the middle, CO was able to kill TBWA off and made their first push ot the TBWA base.. Once TBWA respawned CO was quickly killed off and TBWA moved into the offense.. About 8 minutes into the game, CO had our Flag while BmoC was tring to escape with CO flag on bottom.. TBWA ended up getting our flag back and CO was able to get bmoc before help could arrive.. leaving the game still at 0-0…
CO was able to grab another flag and kill off all TBWA and leave base with all TBWA just about in holding….Etern was able to hold them off at the middle till the other TBWA respawned….TBWA manouvered and sourrouned the midddle of the map, leaving no easy exit for CO.. CO tried to blast through but was killed on all sides.. CO was always on the offensive, but just didnt have enough power to drive any flags home..
With 13 minutes remaining the game was a dead even heat with no team being able to score… Finally Bmoc was able to penetrate the CO base and escape with the flag with down the middle.. However Red quickly got up and killed Bmoc off.. Guess zooming to the scene shot up Spiffy, just as he recovered the CO flag, Guess killed Spiff and grab the CO Flag… Thanks to TBWA teammates, Guess just barely escaped in the middle and around for the score with CO in almost every direction to put up TBWA 1-0… From then on CO pushed even harder to Score, possibly to much as the offensive (Tech) always snuck into base and grabbed the flag about 8 times just didnt have enough CO cover to get the TBWA base.
The last 10 minutes CO was Flag crazy trying to tie the game up to 1-1, but they just couldnt get past the TBWA defense. TBWA focused on defense the lasts few minutes to seal the victory.. TBWA wins 1-0..
Overall, CO is looking better than ever, put up and excellent fight and better than any of our previous games we played against them..

APL Game #1
HEADLINE!!: TBWA def FFoD 2-0
TBWA: Guess, Etern, Nano, Goose, BmoC(sub)
FFoD: Pengo, Cow, Diss, Rbrad
Report:
It was 15mins before the game.. everyone was rushing to the arena while Guess was snoring. Etern, his trusty alarm clock, then went off and Guess awoke to assemble with the TBWA crew ready to kick some frog butt.
At the Beginning of the match, We noticed Goose riding the walls.. He left couple times came back and played with the wall again, so we decided to sub in BmoC. For 25mins of the 30minute match it was a stalemate but with nearly all the fighting taking place in FFoD’s base. There were many individual flag run attempts in that time by us, but all of them were picked off by the swarming defence of FFoD.
Our 2 flag runs came in the last 5mins of the match. The first one was made by Etern who nearly made it all the way, before she decided to catch a bomb on her head right at the flag holder. Guess cleaned up and it gave us the 1-0 lead.
The second flag return came as the result of a gigantic offensive push by TBWA which saw BmoC storm their base and come out with the flag and every TBWA still alive to cover him. BmoC made it halfway before he got stuck in a little corner and was killed by Pengo. Etern tho was on the spot as usual and cleaned up brilliantly to bring back the second flag with 5 or so seconds to spare.
FFoD was a very tough opponent and will no doubt be a major contender in the rest of this APL.

Jan 10 — APL League Championship Match
HEADLINE!!: TBWA Defeated EgO 2-0
TBWA Team: Guess, Etern, Nano, day61 vs.
EgO Team: Chaos, Gopher, Dragon, Kinetic
—————————————————————
Report:
This was our second match against EgO today. The first one was plagued by page boot problems so we totally restarted. Everyone was getting anxious to get this game over with so in we went.
After ALOT of stalemate fighting EgO grabbed our flag and killed all TBWA defenders. Nano had just respawned and was the only one close to them on the map. There were 2 defenders and the flag carrier Dragon. They were just entering their base when Nano caught up to them so we thought we had lost it. But Nano killed the 2 defenders quickly and approached Dragon and killed him also. The rest of the shocked TBWA finally caught up and returned the flag. Guess referred to it as the play of the game, but it also was the turning point.
From then on TBWA seemed to gather a bit more composure and also grab the flag more. The first return came when Guess, Etern and Nano stormed into the Ego base and Nano came out with the flag. Etern and Guess covered excellently and they all made it halfway before being swarmed by Ego’s and dying. However, day respawned and was able to pick up the flag and bring it back to base with the rest of TBWA covering him. We took the important 1-0 lead.
The second return was also a bit of a scramble. Nano got past the Ego defenders with the flag and at the same time Chaos got past the TBWA defenders with the other flag. They were heading on a collision course until Guess luckily respawned in the way and immediately killed Chaos. Guess and Nano then returned the flags with Etern and day61 covering brilliantly as always.
The rest of the match was just a couple of grabs by us but nothing eventuated. EgO put up an enourmous match and it was our hardest yet by far. We are now ready for the final against PB prolly better than we were last time.
Till then, be a happy bubble.

Jan 9 — APL 1st Seed vs Wild Card Match
HEADLINE!!: TBWA WINS 3-0 vs uFo
TBWA Team: Guess, Etern, Nano, Goose vs.
uFo Team: MoonSkt, Yebo, Galthor, Acolyte
—————————————————————
Report:
It was 45mins before the match.. and with no sign of Guess and Etern, Nano was becoming really worried. They turned up 2mins later.
The game for the first 10mins was a stalemate… with flag grabs by both teams not eventuating into anything. Eventually the breakthrough came with Guess but Moon also grabbed our flag and made it to the half way bridge. Etern and Nano were there however to recover the flag and bring it back for the 1-0 lead.
The second return came when Nano snuck into the uFo base and killed the 2 or so weakened uFo players defending to escape and hold off the chase until the rest of the TBWA crew caught up to cover. Nano returned it for the 2-0 lead.
The third return came by the way of a bird named Goose, who silently snuck into the uFo base and glided his way out. Goose returned it for the 3-0 win.
We played very well in this game to overcome a determined uFo outfit. Remember now we play EgO tomorrow for a spot in the APL final.
Till then, be a happy bubble.

Jan 1 — APL 1st Seed Playoff Match
HEADLINE!!: TBWA WINS 2-0 vs Ego
TBWA Team: Nano, Goose, Atomic, Knight vs.
Ego Team: Chaos, Dragon, Iginest, Gopher, Alpha
—————————————————————
Report:
Well this was a match in which we had to prove that we didn’t need the awesome skills of Guess and Eternity to win 🙂 With 1 hour to go Atomic was going crazy, crying in fact, hoping that we would get enuff players. Nano remained totally calm the whole time, and sure enough Goose and Knight came on.
This was not an easy match to win, but we were never in any danger to lose it. EgO marked Nano well most of the time.. always having a guy on him and usually two. Atomic was rocking in defense as usual, which slowed down the usually dangerous EgO attack. Goose and Knight were blitzing in offense.. always keeping EgO stuck in their own half of the map.
At about half way thru the match the breakthrough came. Nano finally got past his guy grabbed the flag and worked his way with the rest of TBWA covering.. down to the bottom of the map. But a smoking Alpha got in the way and slowed Nano down who was eventually killed on the half way mark by the chase behind. Knight then with Goose’s help picked up the flag and brought it home for the 1-0 lead.
The second return was similer but a little more chaotic in the end 🙂 Nano got past his marker with ease and grabbed the flag quickly, with Goose below him in support. Goose covered excellently and with Nano creaming anyone that came near him. While this was happening Iginest grabbed our flag and met Nano just as he entered near our base. Nano hid behind a wall from igi, dodging bullets from chaos.. until the rest of the TBWA crew caught up. But Chaos was doing alot of damage from behind him.. so Nano and Igi made a charge at eachother.. the result was both of them dropping their flags and killing eachother. Knight and Atomic were on the spot as always and picked up the flag. But were quickly smoked by the chasing EgO’s who had time to catch up. Nano and Goose then held them off tho for Knight and Atomic to make the 2nd return.
The last 5mins was full of lots o flag grabs by Nano but none went anywhere. We all then just held off and brought home the bacon 🙂
Congrats to everyone who played.. and for day61 for being our sub. We really proved something to ourselves today.. im proud of you all. *sniff* *achoo* stupid dust.
Remember to keep practicing for our next playoff match!
Till then, be a happy bubble.
